This design was created for a client of ours and has been crafted in a vintage style and features a beautiful deep blue sapphire as the center stone. It seems that antique engagement rings go perfectly with rose gold due to its timeless and warm hue.
A little bit about sapphires
Aside from diamonds, sapphires are probably one of our favorite gems when it comes to creating unique engagement rings. Did you know that next to diamonds, sapphires are also one of the hardest gems available? This means that they will wear incredibly well over time due to their durability and hardness. Hidden Gem’s and details
This antique engagement ring design also features one of our specialties here at Omori Diamonds inc., the use of hidden gems and details on the bridge. The bridge is a great spot to show a variety of hidden details which can act as a secret reminder of love to the one wearing the ring.
Another interesting aspect of this design is the use of vintage piercing and engraving. This is a defining characteristic seen in almost all vintage and antique engagement rings where negative space is used to create contours along the band.
This is an enjoyable part of the design process for our team, as the piercing and engraving allows for many opportunities to get creative. Below are a few other examples of antique engagement rings which features interesting piercing and styling.
This yellow gold engagement ring features a brilliant VVS center diamond as well as some very detailed styling on the band creating a timeless elegant look.
In the case of this ring, we used a mixture of both white and rose colored gold to create a fantastic contrast in color and texture. This ring has been a big hit on our instagram and social media accounts.
Here is another brilliant sapphire engagement ring which features a beautiful vintage setting with engraving. The detailed engraving on this band was created through the use of CAD (computer aided design) by our expert team.
